Sunrise At The Beach

All these photos were taken at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where Mr. AOW and I vacationed at the end of the summer of 2006. I managed to capture the sunrise with sequential shots. These scenes followed a full two days of stormy weather, and we got another storm later that day:

Of course, no trip to the beach would be the same without my Mustang:

Sunrise on the Mustang? ;^)

Warren,
Yes!

I like the reflection of the sun in that shiny finish and in the hubs of the wheels.

Frankly, I was surprised that the picture turned out exactly as the light glinted off the car.

I should crop and enlarge that photo for Mr. AOW. I doubt that he's seen the detail.

Eye Check time I thought I saw a man in a gasmask wading towards the shore.

Hheheheheh!
That was a very fortuitous shot of the Mustang! Timing...
I used to take pictures of the sunset from my dormroom window when I was at UCF. There were some spectacular shots. Now where they are, I have no clue, my daughter packed those up too.
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

TMW,
I find myself taking loads of pictures of sunrises and sunsets. We get some spectacular sunrises here where we live. The entire living room glows sometimes.

I don't know how many pictures of sunset's I've taken... probably hundreds... but I don't think I ever captured a sunrise. ;-)

FJ,
I typically get up before sunrise.

EB,
I get lucky with my photography sometimes. I'm amazed that the sequence here came out so well.

That would make a good episode of Sunrise Earth. I grew up in SoCal, so the we get sunsets on the beach, and you never really tire of them.

Hi, Kevin.

Southern California does indeed have beautiful sunsets on the beach--and beautiful sunrises on the mountains, too.

Mr. AOW grew up in Pasadena, up in the hill country. From his parents' deck, the view was breathtaking.

The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen were in Hawaii. How I long to vacation there again!

Very beautiful pictures! The last sunrise over the beach photo is now on my desktop.

Edge,
I'm flattered that you chose one of my photos for your desktop. I confess that I'm not quite comfortable with digital photography, particularly the editing software. All those years of film cameras!
